Privacy Policy
Short version: DebtSweep doesn't collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter stays in your private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple, controlled by you. The developer can't see it.
The plain-English summary. We don't have a server. We don't have analytics. We don't have ads. We don't have a sign-in. We don't link to your bank. There is no account to delete because we never made one.
What data DebtSweep stores
DebtSweep is a budgeting app, so it stores the budget data you enter:
- Envelope names, amounts, and rollover settings
- Transactions (amount, date, optional merchant, optional note, optional check number)
- Debts (balances, minimum payments, APR, payoff history)
- Payment methods you create (e.g., "Chase Visa," "Cash")
- App preferences (period cycle, debt strategy, badges earned)
None of this is sent to us. All of it lives on your device, with optional iCloud sync to your other Apple devices.
Where the data is stored
DebtSweep uses Apple's SwiftData framework with iCloud mirroring. That means:
- The primary copy of your data is on your iPhone or iPad.
- If you're signed in to iCloud, an encrypted copy syncs to your private CloudKit database — Apple's servers, controlled by your Apple ID.
- The developer (Dwayne Riner) and any third party have no access to that database. Apple does not share its contents.
If you sign out of iCloud or delete the app, the local copy is removed. Your iCloud copy follows whatever you set in your Apple ID settings. To wipe it deliberately, use Settings → About → Reset onboarding inside the app.
What DebtSweep does not do
- No bank account or credit card linking. DebtSweep never asks for banking credentials and never imports transactions.
- No analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Firebase, no Sentry, no Crashlytics).
- No advertising SDKs and no advertising identifiers used.
- No third-party data sharing.
- No account creation, no email collection, no password.
Apple's role
If you enable iCloud sync, Apple processes your encrypted data on its CloudKit servers. Apple's privacy practices are described at apple.com/privacy. The developer of DebtSweep cannot read or modify your CloudKit data and does not receive any record of its contents.
Children
DebtSweep is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data, from anyone, of any age — see above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will change too. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
